It’s what Picard would do.

Well, anyone can stand up for anyone if mai tais are at stake. That’s just common sense.

He would engage. And then, apparently, he’d return to the gym.

Excuse me? Excuse me, senor? May I speak to you please? I asked for a mai tai, and they brought me a pina colada, and I said no salt, NO salt for the margarita, but it had salt on it, big grains of salt, floating in the glass...

He was just trying to enjoy his vacation until a Ferengi disturbed him.

Don’t know when that picture would’ve been taken, but Patrick Steward is 75.

That’s one of the few episodes where a Galaxy-class actually destroys an enemy ship. It’s a pity we had to wait until the Dominion War to see the ship’s combat potential.

I do know when he comes to Dragon Con here in the states his exposure is very limited - rarely even does panels anymore and all meetings with fans are private room affairs with limited contact. Not that his health is that horribly poor, but they take every precaution as if it is.

While I agree it’s a shame we didn’t get to see her in action more often - the Enterprise D is my favourite - part of what I liked about TNG - also my favourite - was how rarely the plot of an episode would be resolved by a straight-up fight. If a conflict ended with the other ship destroyed, Picard considered himself to have failed more often than not.

We’re re-watching DS9 (my wife’s first time) and I can’t wait to get to the Dominion War. Dukat just took the Bird of Prey and things are starting to get tense :)

I get smad when I see Enterprise-D imagry now.
Sad that TNG is gone and Trek is dead. But PS9, they just did two new movies and are about to lauch a thir- I SAID, TREK IS DEAD NOW.
Mad that I wasn’t born in the year 3578 when humanity will (hopefully) be exploring the galaxy for real.
So, smad. I feel smad now.
